“FRAGMENT” (2015)

Methacrylate, neon
cm 76 x 150 x 1,5

The work is inspired by a fragment of lace (XVII sec. Collection of Palazzo Madama – Turin.)
Fragment is a sinuous and deformed by time texture on which bright curls stand out, gaining consistency in the tridimensionality. Peering into antique laces, recovering and reinterpreting the traditional repertoires, an unexpected and fascinating adventure starts into the world of yarn. Signs can revisit habitual gestures, actors in a story in which ancient art becomes contemporary creative expression.
